Your First Consultation
We see people in very varying stages, from those who have not yet separated but are considering their options, to those who may have been divorced for a long time.
In keeping with our philosophy of giving you options and not taking a "one size fits all" approach, you have choices for your first consultation including a free "meet and greet", a short appointment or a longer appointment. We will guide you as to which of our lawyers is likely to be the best option for you and your case. You will also have the option of seeing us at our Mosman, Parramatta or Surry Hills office, or if you are further afield or internationally based, we can have your consultation by phone or using video conferencing.
We value our time and expertise, as do our clients, and we focus on providing a premium service. We therefore charge for providing advice at initial appointments. Our fees are very reasonable, especially considering our skill and expertise in family law.
We know you will have lots of questions. The information on our website is designed to give you some basis before your first appointment. We suggest that before your first consultation you prepare a short list of questions and issues, so that you do not forget or overlook something which is important to you. You should also make sure that you either forward to us beforehand, or bring with you to your consultation, any relevant documents such as agreements, correspondence and court documents.
At your first consultation we will discuss your situation with you and will set out your options. We will also discuss likely costs with you, including costs consequences of different options, so that you are able to make a full informed decision.
If you believe your case is urgent, make sure you inform our staff. While we are a small boutique firm, we are big enough to be able to handle most urgent situations.
